Performance Gap
Information Technology Services at the University of San Francisco identified the need to ensure that USF faculty and staff were aware of specific USF information security policy. Previously, the Information Security team used email to share best practices. Eventually, the InfoSec team identified a need for impactful and memorable training.
Solutions
To develop a USF-specific, scenario-based module based on existing policy documentation. Employ a USF staff member to feature in the training.
Design Highlights
- Transformed a policy email into an interactive training module with a real-world scenario
- Designed a branched scenario where the learner could explore making mistakes in a safe environment
- Engaged university staff to contribute to the project and to build relatability with staff and faculty
- SCORM compliant to integrate with the university’s training management system
